2027 Mazda3 Price: From $24,750, Turbo Hatch $38,190 — Mazda Keeps the Manual and the Turbo, and Moves the Hatchback Upmarket

Mazda's November 3 release lists eight trims, a six-speed manual on the Premium Plus hatchback and a Turbo that is AWD-only.

Key takeaway: The 2027 Mazda3 starts at $24,750 (sedan, before $1,315 destination), the hatchback begins at $27,040, and the 250-hp Turbo Premium Plus tops the range at $38,190.

Mazda has published U.S. pricing for the 2027 Mazda3, and the headline is a $24,750 sedan at the bottom of the range and a $38,190 Turbo hatchback at the top. Those are MSRPs before Mazda's $1,315 destination and handling charge ($1,360 in Alaska), taxes and dealer fees, which puts the entry car at $26,065 delivered. Mazda's release, dated November 3, 2026, does not say when the cars reach dealers.

The price ladder

The range starts with the 2.5 S sedan at $24,750, a front-drive car that is sedan-only. The 2.5 S Select Sport follows at $25,740 as a sedan and $27,040 as a hatchback, so the hatchback body costs $1,300 more at that step. The 2.5 S Preferred is $27,490 as a sedan and $28,040 as a hatchback, and the hatchback can be had with i-Activ all-wheel drive at $29,990.

The upper half is more specialized. The 2.5 S Premium is a sedan-only trim with standard AWD at $30,415. The 2.5 S Premium Plus is a hatchback-only trim, listed at $31,950 with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual, or $33,350 with AWD. At the top, the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus comes only with AWD: $37,040 as a sedan and $38,190 as a hatchback.

What each step adds

Even the base 2.5 S is reasonably complete: 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, push-button start, an eight-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a safety kit with blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane-keep assist and radar cruise control with stop-and-go. The Select Sport adds 18-inch black wheels, leatherette seats, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto with Alexa built in.

The Preferred adds a power moonroof, a memory driver's seat, heated front seats and a wireless charger, while the Premium brings leather seats, a 12-speaker Bose system, HD Radio and Traffic Sign Recognition. The hatchback-only Premium Plus, which Mazda describes as newly positioned in the lineup, adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, a windshield head-up display, adaptive front lighting and LED signature lighting at both ends.

Engines and the manual

Every trim below the Turbo uses the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder, rated at 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque on regular 87-octane fuel, with a six-speed automatic as standard. The six-speed manual is the notable holdout: Mazda's release lists it on the Premium Plus hatchback at $31,950, and its powertrain text also mentions a 2.5 S hatchback, although the price table has no such trim. Choosing the manual saves $1,400 against the same car with AWD and the automatic.

The Turbo Premium Plus gets the turbocharged 2.5-liter, rated at up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft on 93-octane fuel, or 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft on 87. It is paired only with AWD and paddle shifters, and it adds a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, rear cross traffic braking and a more aggressive body kit with larger tailpipes. At $38,190, the Turbo hatchback sits $4,840 above the AWD Premium Plus hatchback.

Why it matters

The Mazda3 is one of the few remaining compact cars sold in the U.S. with a manual gearbox and a turbocharged option, and this pricing shows Mazda leaning on that identity rather than chasing the cheapest sticker. Its direct rivals are the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, and the sedan-versus-hatchback split matters more here than in most small cars: the hatchback is only offered from the Select Sport up, so the sub-$25,000 entry price is sedan-only.

Mazda's own release gives no direct comparison with 2026 pricing, so buyers cross-shopping should check what a leftover 2026 car costs at their dealer. Colors are the other extra: Jet Black Mica, Premium Quartz Metallic and Deep Crystal Blue Mica are standard, while Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Machine Gray Metallic, Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Polymetal Gray Metallic and Ceramic Metallic cost $595 each.
